Forest Stewardship Council®(FSC®) are an independent, not-for-profit, non-governmental organisation that works to promote the environmentally appropriate, socially beneficial, and economically viable management of the world’s forests. FSC® certification tracks the wood from the forest to the shelf. When you see the FSC® label on our product, you can be sure that the paper came from responsible sources. Charters Paper has held Sustainable Green Print certification since 2012 – L1/303670. Sustainable Green Print (SGP) is the industry’s environmental certification program run by the Print & Visual Communication Association. The Print and Visual Communication Association (PVCA) is the leadership and support organisation for all businesses in the print, packaging, graphic design and media technology industry in Australia. Based on ISO14001 framework, SGP is tailored to meet the needs of businesses manage environmental expectations and responsibilities.
Charters Paper have been a member of Sedex since May 2015. The Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) is a not-for-profit, membership organisation that leads work with buyers and suppliers to deliver improvements in responsible and ethical business practices in global supply chains. Sedex is the name of the organisation – SMETA is the name of an audit methodology. SMETA is designed to help auditors conduct high quality audits that encompass all aspects of responsible business practice, covering Sedex’s four pillars Labour, Health and Safety, Environment and Business Ethics.
